Purpose Of The Program
Lean Six Sigma leaders gain the skills to lead Lean DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) projects and train team members on the outputs, tools, and approaches involved in each step of the process.
This innovative program combines Lean's focus on the elimination of waste with Six Sigma's pursuit of breakthrough improvement, and focuses on Lean Six Sigma's integration and infrastructure needed to achieve organizational excellence.
Candidates learn leadership skills, team building and facilitation, coaching and mentoring, Lean DMAIC steps and outputs, and advanced statistical tools.
Led by trained Master Black Belts, this workshop-based program includes five weeks of training, spread over a 5-month period, with project application scheduled between training weeks.
Course Objectives- Define the Lean Pathway in terms of Lean and Six Sigma integration
- Define the roles and responsibilities for the infrastructure supporting improvement projects
- Identify the steps and their sequence in Lean DMAIC along with the outputs and tools in each step

- Use meeting skills and tools, decision making, intervention, and group dynamics for team building and facilitation
- Prepare storyboards and presentations; give and receive feedback
- Use Minitab® in support of statistical tools
- Successfully implement Lean Six Sigma projects while integrating results into the business system and culture

How To Earn Your Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
It is recommended, but not required, for Lean Six Sigma Black Belt candidates to have already earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Candidates complete a five-week, workshop-based program of training, spread over a 5-month period. Project application is scheduled between training weeks, so you return to work and apply what you've just learned.
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification requires successful completion of the abovementioned program, a passing grade on the final examination, and submission of a detailed report of a successful project.
